Sherry joined DeYoung Memorial Chapel in 2010. She splits her time between receptionist and administrative assistant. She brings to the team more than 15 years of customer service experience. She enjoys gardening, playing the piano, spending time with family and taking her boxer Roxie for long walks.

Matt has been in the death care profession since 2008 and has been with DeYoung since February of 2012. Matt is married with four children that he enjoys spending time with. Matt also enjoys coaching little league which he has done for over 20 years.

Sal Hernandez
Memorial Specialist
Sal has been working here since June 1987. He works as both a gardener as well as doing maintenance. Sal truly loves watching flowers grow and is very happy in his work.

Richard Huntley
Care Center Specialist
Richard has worked at DeYoung’s for 5 years and has over 25 years experience in the death care profession. He attended San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and is a licensed embalmer. Richard enjoys working with miniatures and dollhouses and has a family run shop in Riverbank.

Shirley Isaak
Care Center Specialist
Shirley obtained her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. She has worked at DeYoung Memorial Chapel since 2006. She enjoys the creative and challenging side of embalming. Shirley loves to watch professional sports with friends and plays the bass guitar.

Ed works as a funeral assistant at DeYoung Memorial Chapels. He has over 17 years of experience in the death care profession. Outside of work Ed enjoys riding motorcycles and wrestling.

Mel has worked at DeYoung’s for over 45 year helping families in their time of need. He’s earned a reputation for being both reliable and trustworthy. Mel enjoys hunting, fishing and old cars.

Phil Manning
Memorial Specialist
Phil has been in the death care profession for over 37 years. He attended California College of Mortuary Science in Los Angeles. He serves as an embalmer and funeral arranger on the staff at DeYoung’s. Phil takes pleasure in helping families in their time of need.

Celina Ness
Customer Service Specialist
Celina has worked for DeYoung since November of 2011. Prior to joining the DeYoung staff she was a restaurant manager in Stockton. She enjoys her new career and her co-workers.

Tim Rauhuff
DeYoung Memorial Chapel Manager
Tim has a master’s degree in Business Administration. He is also licensed as a California Funeral Director and holds a California Insurance license. Tim worked at DeYoung’s for 15 years before managing Neptune Sacramento for 4 years, then returned to DeYoung Memorial Chapel as manager in July 2012. He has over 25 years experience in the funeral industry. He enjoys bowling and was a professional bowler for many years.

Bernie Realph

Bernie started working with DeYoung in January of 2012. She lives in Discovery Bay and has 25 years of administrative experience. She enjoys her 2 grandsons, playing golf, being involved in the Corvette Clubs and putting on events at Discovery Bay Yacht Club.

Wendy Sanchez
Memorial Specialist
Wendy received her Funeral Director’s license in 2006 and is currently working on her embalmer’s apprenticeship. She is also a graphic designer and an artist with over 20 years experience. In her off time she enjoys spending time with her family, crafts and sewing historic costumes.

Rogelio Soto
Memorial Specialist
Roger has been with DeYoung Funeral Chapels since the summer of 2006 and brings over twenty years of funeral service experience with him. Prior to coming to DeYoung’s he worked for funeral establishments in the Stockton, Sacramento and Bay Areas. Outside of DeYoung’s Roger enjoys family life and being a professional musician. Roger is fluent in Spanish and assists many of our Spanish speaking clients.

Steve Trucco

Steve has worked for DeYoung’s part time since March of 1995 – after 31 years working in the Post Office. He is well known in the community for his 62 years playing the accordion, 25 years with his son Michael. Steve continues to carry on Italian traditions such as making salami. He enjoys serving families at DeYoung’s.

Karl has a bachelor's degree in Public Administration with a minor in Economics. After a career in handling workers compensation claims, he obtained his Funeral Director's License and has a California State Life Insurance license. He has been at DeYoung's for two years. Outside of work he serves as a Deacon in the Catholic Church.
